Gaming for me goes back to my childhood, not just playing the games, but enjoying the creation and art of games, I have Games Workshop to thank for that. I began my gaming life with table top miniature games some 14 years ago. Unlike most of my friends I was more interested in painting the miniatures and creating terrain then anything else. Later in life this became sculpting, I interned for a company called Atomic Monkey and found that I not only loved to paint but also sculpt. This love finally took me into the 3D world where I could use all of my skills to create a world to tell a story and immerse players in.
Not only do I love to create the visuals, but creating the stories and even balancing the game play are both things I find to be challenging and fun. I won two Alan Emrich awards for this in Concept Documents (Best concept document for a Fire Fly ship game) and in Rule Writing (Best Rules for a Gundam Wing table top game).
As for who I am well…I hate trying to explain that. I’m a laid back person who gets along with everyone. I tend to get very focused on tasks at hand like if my car has something strange going on with it, I will rack my brain until I find out why. I guess I already said it but yes I am a car guy. I also enjoy camping, backpacking, rock-climbing and many other things. That, in a nut shell, is who I am.
